Canvas is a joint venture between Dawn Rozell Kirchmeyer and Steve McCarthy. A vision of renovating a beautiful three story building in Buffalo NY from an empty shell into a vibrant bar, restaurant, gallery and music venue. Dawn, a Buffalo girl, bringing her natural skills as a top chef, business woman and entrepreneur and Steve, a graphic designer, musician/producer and artist from London UK are the perfect combination to regenerate this unique space into the hub for social, creative and entertainment activities that it deserves and is crying out to be.
From morning until late an abundant range of culinary delights and beverages will be waiting for you in an environment that transforms throughout the day to suit the mood. Morning breakfasts and coffee with down-tempo jazz to ease you into your day, catch up with friends or business clients for lunch whilst tucking into one of the many international artisan pizzas available and sipping on a unique cocktail of your choice then watch as Canvas transforms into the sassy lounge by night presenting you with the best entertainment and music in the perfect atmosphere for sharing from the Tapas menu. Then when it comes to the end of a busy week, relax with a traditional English Sunday roast, the perfect setup for the week ahead…when you can do it all again.
If you’re a musician/artist/poet or just have something to say, take to the stage to be seen and heard. Not only will you have the immediate crowd, but you can also be heard live and world wide via the Canvas online radio. The in-house recording studio will be available to anyone who wants to add to the live recordings or to record from scratch. Canvas will also be the ideal place for artists alike who want to display their works and be promoted via our gallery and website.
